This Privacy Policy explains how ReGo ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use rego.lk and related services (the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Account information: name, username, email address, phone numbers (including verification status), profile photo, bio, and preferred location.

Listing and activity data: ads you post, photos, messages with other users, favourites, reviews, reports, and usage logs such as views and device/browser type.

Payment-related data: where you use paid features, we may receive transaction references, proof uploads, or subscription status from payment processors or manual review—not full card numbers stored by us unless explicitly stated.

Technical data: IP address, cookies, and similar identifiers used for security, analytics, and session management.

We use personal information to operate the Platform, authenticate users, display listings, enable messaging, process optional paid features, prevent fraud and abuse, improve search and recommendations, send service-related notifications, and comply with law.

We may send marketing communications where permitted; you can opt out using instructions in the message or account settings where available.

Public profile and listing information is visible to other users as you choose when posting.

We share data with service providers who help us host, email, SMS (e.g. OTP), analytics, media storage, and payments, under contracts that require appropriate safeguards.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of assets, with notice where practicable.

We use cookies and local storage for login sessions, preferences, and security. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work if cookies are disabled.

We retain information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, dispute, and backup purposes.

We implement technical and organisational measures to protect data, but no system is completely secure. Please use a strong password and protect your account.

You may update profile details in your account settings. Verified phone numbers cannot be edited without removal and re-verification.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us, subject to legal retention requirements.

If you believe we hold inaccurate data or process it unlawfully, contact hello@rego.lk and we will respond within a reasonable time.

The Platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data.

Data may be processed on servers or by providers located outside Sri Lanka. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate protection for cross-border transfers.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may be communicated on the Platform.
